"With the new US administration pledging to push renewable energy, Danish developer European Energy is now expanding its solar activities in the country. It has acquired 1,276 acres of land in Texas as well as establishing a JV with US-based Renewable Energy International. European Energy plans to develop solar power on the Texas site, which was previously used for extracting oil and gas as well as serving as a cattle ranch. The company expects to start the construction phase in the first half of 2022 and expects the solar farm to be connected to the electricity grid in 2023."
